Short answer: At Let Us Entertain You, wedding packages (DJ, photography and live photo screens) start at $3,000. Your exact price depends on how many hours you book, which services you combine, your date and your venue. The rest of this guide explains what drives the number up or down, so you can compare quotes from any DJ on equal terms.
Our wedding pricing at a glance
| Package | Starts at | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding package (DJ & MC + photography + live photo screens) | $3,000 | Weddings that want music, MC, photos and guests’ photos on screens from one team |
| Private party DJ | $950 | Birthdays, Sweet 16s, anniversaries and other private parties. This is not a wedding price. |
Photo booths and a 360 video booth can be added to any package; the price depends on hours. Send your date for exact pricing. Planning a party instead? See the Sweet 16 guide or party entertainment.
What you’re actually paying for
A wedding DJ quote covers much more than the hours of music. Most of the work happens before the day.
- Planning: building your must-play and do-not-play lists, choosing songs for the ceremony, entrance, first dance and parent dances, and learning how to pronounce every name in your bridal party.
- MC work: running the timeline and making the announcements (grand entrance, toasts, cake cutting, last dance) while keeping the venue staff and photographer in sync.
- Equipment: professional speakers, wireless microphones and dance-floor lighting.
- Setup and breakdown: arriving well before guests do and packing out after the last song. That time isn’t part of your booked hours, but it is part of the job.
- Experience: reading the room, knowing when to fill the dance floor and when to slow it down, and recovering calmly when the timeline slips.
The five things that change the price
1. Hours
Most Long Island weddings book the DJ for the reception, and many add the ceremony and cocktail hour. Most events we play book 3–6 hours. Each added hour raises the price, so work out your timeline first (here’s a sample wedding-day timeline).
2. Ceremony and cocktail hour sound
If your ceremony is in a different spot from the reception, such as a garden, a gazebo or a separate room, it needs its own speakers and microphones for your officiant and readers. Ask every DJ whether that’s included or extra.
3. Add-ons
Photo booths, a 360 video booth, live photo screens and photography all add to the total. Booking them from the same team as your DJ means one contract, one contact and one timeline instead of three vendors to coordinate. Compare a photo booth with a 360 booth.
4. Date
Saturdays in peak wedding season book first. Fridays, Sundays and off-season dates are easier to get.
5. Venue and travel
We focus on weddings within about an hour of Massapequa, across Nassau and Suffolk. Venues with long load-ins or several spaces (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in different rooms) take more setup.
How to compare two DJ quotes fairly
Two quotes can look far apart simply because they cover different things. Line them up with these questions:
- How many hours are included, and what does an extra hour cost?
- Is the DJ also the MC? Who makes the announcements?
- Is ceremony sound (microphones and speakers) included?
- Is dance-floor lighting included?
- Will the person you meet be the person who plays your wedding?
- Is there a written contract, and what’s the deposit?
- Can you read recent reviews from real couples?
The last two questions matter most. Price is only one part of the value; the other part is whether the person on the microphone will make your night run smoothly. Read our Google reviews.

Frequently asked questions
Is $950 the price of a wedding DJ?
No. $950 is our starting price for private parties such as birthdays and Sweet 16s. Wedding packages (DJ + photography + live photo screens) start at $3,000.
What questions should we ask before booking?
Ask who will play your wedding, whether they MC, what’s included in the hours and how ceremony sound works. Here are 12 questions to ask a Long Island wedding DJ.
Why are some Long Island DJs much cheaper?
Usually they cover fewer hours, leave out ceremony sound or lighting, don’t provide an MC, or send someone you’ve never met. Compare line by line using the questions above.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have your venue and date. Peak Saturdays go first.
Can we meet you first?
Yes. Call or text 516-366-7168. We’re a family business, and you’ll talk to the people who actually play your wedding.
